Resurrection Rolls

We made resurrection rolls yesterday for an Easter object lesson. Have you heard of them? You take a large marshmallow, which represents Jesus, dip it in melted butter, roll it in cinnamon sugar, roll it up in refrigerated crescent roll dough (making sure that it's tightly sealed!), and bake as normal. Can you guess what happens when you open it up?!

It's so simple, but it really is powerful imagery seeing the empty "tomb", even if you know it's coming.

I didn't tell them that the "tomb" would be empty. It was a great surprise!

Mollie said, "See? Only the sheets were left!" We used colored bunny-shaped marshmallows, hence the green :D
