For The Girls' Room

One of the things on my "crafty to-do list", was to decorate and reorganize Mollie's room. Here are some of the things I'd like to do:

I'd do one of these for both Mollie and Delia using their initials:

I have so many fabric scraps, I love this idea for a lampshade:

I would make one of these to go on each side of Mollie's toddler bed to keep books in:

I LOVE this idea for a small table. I'd put it next to our glider, and I know Mollie would love it too, she's very into tutus and dancing right now!

It would be easy to decorate Mollie's toy baskets with scalloped fabric:

I want to make a new crib sheet. Prudent baby has a tutorial for one here:

I also want to make lots of different shape/size pillows for the bed. Here's two cute ones:

Lastly, I want to make new curtains. I'm not sure exactly what I want, so I don't have a picture, but I'm thinking something with ric-rac, pom pom trim, ruffles, and ribbon.

  1. You find the neatest ideas, Caitlin. I like all of these.

I am trying to get back into crafting. This week I made a small counted cross stitch pic for a friend. Also, made a retro potholder to go with a couple other things for someone's birthday. I got the tutoral on someone's blog. I have set my sewing machine on the desk upstairs, so now I can leave it up. Maybe this will inspire me. Mine are "kindergarten" projects compared to the neat projects you make. Even so, it is very satisfying to make something.
